A dedicated faculty, with specialties in public administration and policy, international relations, and Indian government and politics, makes up the political science department. It provides several courses, including Generic Elective (GE) courses and the Political Science Discipline in B.A. (Multidisciplinary) course. Courses for enhancing skills (SEC).

The political science department empowers the students to become socially and politically conscious and encourages discourses that aim to improve rational and scientific temper.
